Don’t miss out on their mouthwatering paninis—a favorite among patrons. One reviewer, Gavin, raved about a lunch special that served not just two generously stuffed paninis, but also a delightful assortment of chips, coleslaw, potato salad, rice, and salad. At an unbeatable price of around €11/12, he declared it was “worth every cent.” Combining great portion sizes and impeccable taste, it’s clear why this dish has left such a lasting impression.

For those who delight in baked goods, be sure to try their delicious homemade brown bread, highly praised by Seamus Keating. It's the kind of treat that transports you straight to a sunny kitchen in Ireland—warm, comforting, and utterly satisfying. And if you’re just in need of a pick-me-up, the flat white served here has been noted for its velvety foam and aromatic flavor, making it a perfect companion for any baked delight.

While Lizzie Briens may have limited space inside, making it a quaint yet busy spot, the quality and value found here far outweigh any concerns. As Didus 33 pointed out, the pricing is refreshingly low compared to other eateries nearby, making it an excellent choice for an enjoyable meal without breaking the bank.

Great lunch So I ordered panini with chips for lunch. It was about €11/12 but my goodness it was worth every cent. If you can see my photos you'll see what I mean - a seriously full plate! 2 packed and very tasty paninis, a nice portion of chips, good portions of coleslaw and potato salad (both delicious), some rice, and a helping of salad too. My friend got a roll and he was very impressed too. There's no empty plate here upon service. Great food, great value and great taste and the ladies who work there are nice - would definitely return again. Even if the toilets upstairs seriously need some improvement. Just the one toilet, the light doesn't work so if you need to be private and close the door you're sitting in the dark. Otherwise you're exposed to any passers by. Lucky them! And the chef sometimes sits at the front ... just sitting there looking grumpy. Oh well, if he continues making food that good I'm not going to complain.

Even they were closing soon I still was able to order a flat white to go, which was very delicious but a little bit too hot. But the foam was fine.

Went here and had a gorgeous creamy chicken pasta dish. My Dad got a burger that was so big he couldn't finish it!! Went back the next morning for the full irish breakfast and it was honestly the best breakfast I've ever had. Lovely staff also. Highly recommended. Beautiful cakes also!! YUM! Great value for such good quality as well.
